PWE Week #484
December 12, 2025

“Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.”
Philippians 3:1 KJV

Paul, the apostle of joy, called repetition our safeguard. When I saw that line, I immediately saw rejoicing itself as a safeguard. That was some personal rhema for me.

One way we sustain our rejoicing is by focusing on what we do have instead of what we don’t have. It may sound cliché, but do it anyway. One thing I see the devil do to fine Christians is push them to focus on what they lack or where they think they should be. That pressure weighs on the heart.

I don’t mean we should become complacent or sign off the year in resignation, surrendering to whatever happens. No. The force of joy delivers the goods. It keeps your grip firm. Disillusionment makes faith feel slippery. It is with joy that we draw from the wells of salvation (Isaiah 12:3).

There are constants that keep us rejoicing:
Redemption, forgiveness, righteousness, identity, community, just to name a few.

My name is written in the Lamb’s book of life. Praise God forevermore!
I have a personal relationship with God.
Nothing can separate me from the love of God (Romans 8:35–39). Glory to God!
I will dwell in the presence of God forever. Hallelujah!

God’s Word contains thousands of promises. I hear there are about 5,000. If we picked one reason to rejoice each day, we would not run out of reasons to praise God in a year of 365 days. Think about that.

Our thinking is the engine room. It feeds our emotions. To enjoy pleasant feelings, we need thoughts that produce them, and that means thinking on the Word of God. No one spends time in the Word, even for a minute, and comes out depressed or forlorn.

The devil works overtime trying to irritate us because he knows that joy is our fight of faith. Maximising prophecy for me means keeping my joy, because that is the only way to receive more amazing answers to prayer (Isaiah 12:3).

Let me ask you:
Was your heart softened this year?
Have you forgiven at a level you never could before?
Have you been less prone to anxiety?

If yes, then the infallible proofs of the risen Christ are evident in you.

You may not have earned more this year (though I doubt that), you may still live in the same neighbourhood (and there may be divine purpose in that), and you may feel like nothing has changed. That is only what you think. If the things I mentioned above have happened in you, then you hit the jackpot where it matters, in your spirit.

As we continue to recall and recount all that the Lord has done, let us put systems in place that keep our eyes on His faithfulness. Pray for your loved ones. Light up your old and dusty Christmas tree. Take your children to a museum or zoo. Take someone out for lunch or dinner. Wives, instead of expecting your husband to plan something, surprise him for a change. 😉

To my busy executives and front liners, you may have to work all year round, but you can still take charge of your environment and make it a happy place.

And don’t forget to join me and the prayer community every week this Yuletide. Faith does not take a break.

You are rising in faith and reaping with joy.

Infallible Proofs.
