PWE Week #483
5 December 2025
Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.
Psalm 65:11
Dear Pray-er,
Welcome to the month of December; the last month in our year of infallible proofs! As we round up this year, prophetic words have already gone ahead of us. We are rising in faith and reaping with joy. Praise God forevermore!
I pray that as we gather the spoils of 2025, we fully engage the force of joy and draw every last bit of the year’s supply from the wells of salvation (Isaiah 12:3)
Here’s the concluding part of the series Prevailing Prayer from November.
The Spirit of the LORD will come powerfully upon you, and you will prophesy with them; and you will be changed into a different person.
1 Samuel 10:6 NIV
But while Peter was in prison, the church prayed very earnestly for him…
Suddenly, there was a bright light in the cell, and an angel of the Lord stood before Peter. The angel struck him on the side to awaken him and said, “Quick! Get up!” And the chains fell off his wrists.
Acts 12:5-10 NIV
So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.
2 Corinthians 3:18 NLT
Change (The Answer of Peace)
The way you enter into prayer should not be the way you come out. Enough of praying and asking God to change everything and everybody else- except you.
We fully expect things to change, that’s why we pray confidently ( 1John 5:14-15) but we often miss out on the importance of the changes that prayer should make in us.
Saul might have wondered: “I’m out here looking for my father’s asses, what has that got to do with joining a band of prophets prophesying? But he became another man! So you may be praying for your children , and God gives you an assignment of faith- a children ministry. The situation with your children helped you pray yourself into God’s purpose for you.
When we start changing from our own prayers, everything else about us will change, including the situations we are praying about. Prevailing prayer changes the way we think and brings us into total submission to God so we don’t pour new wine into old wine skins (Luke 5:37-38).
We have been taught that the prayer of faith is the prayer of importunity; some have been taught to pray once and walk away- unsure if God would answer or not.
The prayer of faith gets the answer – no matter how long it takes. You are within your rights to keep praying until you receive the blessing. Take the Syrophoenecian woman- she was in faith. She believed she would receive her desire and she stayed with it – swallowing the insult till she received her desire- that’s importunity of faith (Mark 7:24-30).
I wonder how many today would remain if Jesus had told them what he told her- literally calling her a dog?
Throwing prayer points at God and walking away is wishful thinking that’s susceptible to offence- it’s not faith.
We must wait and hear what He has to say about the situation. So make tremendous power available but listen for his word and directives too!
In closing, here are our Key takeaways from the series:
Alone- if you don’t already, please start praying alone. You can start by praying 1 hour daily- alone. No music, no message, no online group. Just you and your father, helped by your advocate (Holy Spirit) Romans 8:26
Learn to focus- Pray one pressing prayer point till you hit the gusher( get the answer of peace). Genesis 41:16, James 5:17
Change- Learn submission in prayer- things don’t have to go your way for God to have heard and answered us 1 Samuel 10:6😉
I look forward to prayers today at
